Halo-halo is a Tagalog word that means mixed, as it is a mixed  of various sweet treats that are put together to enjoy into one great cold treat. A colorful medley that is sure to cheer you up even on the hottest and most humid of days.

Originally Halo-halo is served in a tall glasses or bowl with shaved ice, milk and the variety of sweet ingredients. During the time that I’ve though of this recipe, I initially craved for halo-halo but then I remember that I don’t have ice shaver or even a blender then I’ve thought that I’ll just buy an ice cream just to ease my cravings for something cold and sweet. Suddenly a light bulb pops in to my head and thought, why not I reconstruct the halo halo and substitute the shaved ice with ice cream then it’s a 2 birds in one stone. I will have a halo-halo and at the same time I’ll eat an ice cream.
